Sewing on Leaves - update
Original post here in Oct 2009, it did look like this...
and it now looks like this:-
I've stored it a folder, unpressed and unpreserved. The colours have faded and some of the leaves have cracked as they have dried, but its still lovely to look at.

Sewing on Leaves
Whilst crafting with Big Girl - she was making more of these - I decided to stitch some of the leaves we collected onto fabric... inspired by this post here...
I did want to use black thread but Big Girl was adamant it should be blue. Since I wanted to stitch, and not fend off a tantrum, I went with the blue...
This has loads of possibilities!
but I'll leave it a while and see how it is in a few weeks...
the red leaves are from my blueberry bush, the orange from a jasmine (maybe?!?!?!)
it looks abit like a colour wheel...
an autumn colour wheel
like I said, loads of possibilities.
it also reminded me of this photo of strawberry leaves taken in October 2007.
