This is the waistcoat from Margaret at margaret-cooter.  She is generously gifting some of her handknits.

I do like the stranded work on the inside of it.  I may felt part of it and keep part of it unfelted...

I bought this cardigan last month at a local charity sale.  Its not very me...

I have since felted it in 2 hot washes...

I also have an accidentally felted grey cardigan and a hole in my first pair of wool socks.

(took me a year to knit them and I got a hole in the heel within 6 months!)

Yesterday Margaret at margaret-cooter generously offered some of her old hand knits to readers, I bagged the Kaffe Fasset design with a view to felting it too (although I may not...)

I am now off to research ideas on what to do for my new recycling project...

20 cards

I'm combining my recycling challenge and 20 cards challenge...

I loved this idea of using handmade felt and papers and black thread. I'm still hopefully of using these squares (created for Exhibition 2008) but I have decided to recycle the idea and make things a little bigger for my 20 cards project...

I started with a 6"x4" piece of painted fabric - machine stitched and hand embellished. Think I made it 3-4 years ago...

It was a bit blah so I cut it up to make 3 ATC sized pieces, one like this...


I'm going to add colour and more abstract shapes on top. Like this work in progress...

Recycling

I have decided to rework some of my stitching projects.

They're just lying around, unframed, unloved, and unseen.

So as Tim Gunn would say I'm going to "make it work".
