Calendar Challenge - June 2011

My June page for Calendar Challenge.

Half way through!

A linky to other pages by other participants is at The Kathryn Wheel.

This page has photographed better than it looks in real life.  I spent less time aimlessly doodling this month... but you can't beat some black paint and a piece of bubble wrap!

In fact I haven't even prepared a page for July yet!

footprints - printing

inspired by my shoe prints in the snow I made some prints using a shoe and black paint.

I did try to do mono printing using a (small) sheet of glass and some black paint, but the paint was too runny and the bumps on the shoes too rounded.  My brayer also left marks on the glass too.  I was most successful using paper rather than fabric but overall I'm quite pleased.  Especially as the whole experiment took 15 minutes from start to clear up!

For the last one I used a rubber to draw circles on the glass before printing.

black & white wall - Part 1

There is a wall at West End, St Monans which is black and white. I must have passed this wall many many times but I have never 'noticed' it.

Today I did.
